The engine behind each horse is a die roll, which helps dictate the # of spaces a horse may move on that round. Each horse, however, has talent-speed-stamina modifiers that either add or subtract to that die roll's number, depending on the horse's location. Also, some horses have more patience than others and can "store" movement points. Furthermore, many horses can recover from stumbling (low rolls) in the form of Re-Roll chips. Finally, each jockey can affect his horse's movement by choosing to either RIDE or DRIVE his horse before each round, and through lane maneuvering. Driving maximizes your horse's movement but it also carries substantial risk -- a costly disqualification if you roll a 1.

Pay out all the successful horse owners and bettors using the Payout Tables’ simple, easy-to-follow chart, and then everyone counts up their ending bankrolls to determine the winner. Some people might want to play for real money, using our token bills like poker chips in poker. In that case, then it's time to "settle up."
